Each culture of Springtails is shipped either on substrate or clay. The box will have a clear label indicating which side should be upright during transit, and that they are perishable contents.

WHY SUBSTRATE? Our specially formulated Bioactive Substrate, similar to the ABG mix, is used as the substrate for shipping these springtails. This allows for convenient transfer of the entire culture to the enclosure, without any additional steps.

WHY CLAY? Using clay is crucial when introducing springtails into larger enclosures. This will enable you to release some into your enclosure while maintaining a breeding culture for future use.


The moment you receive your springtails, they will be ready to introduce into your bioactive setup.
