All Dwarf Species, P. pruinosus, and P. laevis, P. scaber, P. dilatatus, and P. scaber will make sufficient cleaners for a bioactive setup. However, it will depend on the pet you are keeping in your setup to make you decide which one to go with.
For example, burrowing species such as P. dilatatus, T. tomentosa, and Trichoniscus sp. pose high stress risks for pets that also burrow. (ie. The Curly Hair Tarantula)
For soft bodied pets such as geckos, tarantulas, and frogs, it’s wise to stick to species that are not too protein hungry: A. maculatum, P. pruinosus, P. virgatus, and N. cristatus, A. floridana, N. cristatutus, R. texensis, Trichoniscus sp., Trichorhina sp., T. tomentosa, and C. convexus.
Overall, Dwarf Whites and Purples are known to be the most iconic in this purpose as they are the only species that are entirely female, mass cloning themselves to a point of mass numbers sufficient for cleaning.
